Our Road to Becoming Affiliates of St. Louis Abbey

During our travels to St. Louis, we learned about St. Louis Abbey. We began to attend

some Masses at The Abbey Church on our visits. We were blown away by the Mass,

the reverence, the homilies, and the wisdom and genuine joy of the monks. We learned

about the Affiliate program through our visits with Brother Luke, and signed on to join.

Our relationship with the monks and affiliation with St. Louis Abbey has given us a deep

desire to learn more about the Benedictine way, and the Desert Fathers. Adopting more

of the Benedictine way of life in our marriage, as well as the rest of our life has become

a priority for us.

Our affiliation with the Abbey has become a cornerstone in our faith journey. We utilize

the prayer book daily, and the Benedictine wisdom is an incredible guide to living a

more virtuous, and joyful life. We relish each opportunity we have to visit and are always

sad to leave. We never dreamed we would become so attached to St. Louis. The Abbey

became a big part of why we love it here. We feel enormously blessed that my career

brought us to St. Louis, and to the Abbey.
