Devotions and Prayers
Eucharistic Adoration: The purpose of Eucharistic Adoration is the primarily directed toward the sanctification of the individual but it also plays a role in the sanctification through intercession of the whole community of the Oratory of Ss. Gregory and Augustine. Periods of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament occur on both Tuesday and Thursday between the end of Holy Mass at 8:15 AM and 10:00 PM. Mr. George Knollmeyer is responsible for organizing and helping orient members of Ss. Gregory and Augustine who are interested.
Lenten Stations of the Cross: On the Fridays during Lent we also have well attended Stations of the Cross at 7:00 PM, followed by a sermon and benediction with the relic of the True Cross.
Quiet Mornings: Each year two Quiet Mornings are held on the first Saturdays of the important liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent. The Quiet Mornings have a guest speaker who offers spiritual reflections for the group, and in the silence in-between the reflections there are opportunities for personal prayer and meditation. Mornings begin with Holy Mass and end with luncheon. Flyers with more information will be available at a later date.
